16. Define your outcomes – You get what you focus on. Why?
When we focus on the outcome we want, (Before the call), it causes our mind to focus on the positive outcome manifesting the result. Here are a few possible outcomes you might have for your next sales call:
* Make a Sale
* Get a Referral
* Sell a specific quantity or volume.
So, before you go in, ask yourself:
What are my outcomes for this sales call?
17. Act As If You Will Achieve Your Sales Goals – The human mind has amazing power. One way to harness this astounding power is to act as if your goal(s) will happen.
To the contrary, Negative self talk will hold you back.
18.Sell The Benefits – I’ve heard it said in a number of sales seminars when the instructor will ask the audience, “In a hardware store, what do drill salesmen sell?” The audience will almost always say,. “They Sell Drills.” In reality they don’t sell drills, they sell the holes the drills make. -People Want Benefits-
As you watch others sell their products in your day to day life, watch how they try to influence you. You will begin to understand the mistakes others make while trying to influence.
